Camperdown Wildlife Centre – Pole to Pole Graphics

Matic Media has recently started working with Leisure and Culture Dundee as part of their print framework.

One of our favourite projects of the year has been the graphic wallpaper, free standing graphics, signage and graphic roller blinds we produced for the Camperdown Wildlife Centre’s Pole to Pole campaign.

We worked with the great design team at Leisure and Culture Dundee to produce 5 free standing animals from the North and South Poles. These graphics had to stand straight and last the test of time so we sourced a new blown foam product, Stadur, which worked perfectly. We then cut the animals using our Zund G3 digital cutter before fitting them into aluminium wedges for installation.

The animals were to be fitted onto a stage above the centre reception. We printed and installed digital wallpaper for a great backdrop to the Apex area behind the animal cut outs.

We then installed two printed roller blind graphics to each side of the room as well as Stadur projecting signs and cast vinyl wall graphics to complete the project.

This was a great project to work on and really tested our inhouse print capabilities with the all the different methods of printing, finishing and installations involved.

The impact when you walk into the reception are now grabs the attention of visitors the Wildlife park and conveys the message of the campaign.

“Thank you to you all for doing such a great job of the graphics and cut outs at Camperdown - they have turned out great!”
